Firstly reflecting on last week, our performance of Black Sabbath's Paranoid went quite well considering we only found a drummer 20 minutes before our performance. we also have played pretty tight without having any major mistakes happen. Our main area for improvement now is the structure at the end of the song. This is as we sometimes get stuck on how many times to play the verse riff and when to play the bridge.
Over this weekend I have been practicing the song on my own so that I would be confident on my own parts and to make sure that I don't let the band down. Also throughout the weekend I have began practicing war pigs which is our second song. Kris has briefly shown me the chords and so I have spent some time over the weekend practicing the verse riff and listening to the song so that I would have a idea on what I would be doing and what I have to learn.
Lastly, tomorrow we are planning to rehearse Paranoid and then to begin learning War Pigs together as a band. This will lead us onto learning the structure next and finally we will then try and make every part of the song sound tight.
