Tuesday 16th October Paint it black

Today we have got into new groups, we ended up in a five piece, me, John, Jack, Taz and Yas. We then began to start choosing a song which we could do, this gave us quite a bit of freedom as it was all up to us what we wanted to do. Firstly me and Jack thought of doing some early punk but we realised pretty soon that we couldn't do that as we had thought punk began in late 60s but we were wrong as punk had began in mid 70s and so we had to choose something else. Yaz had then searched up songs from the 60s where we saw a song by the rolling stones to which Yas recommended that we should do paint it black by the rolling stones and after listening to it we all agreed as we liked it quite a bit.

When it came to rehearsing our parts we learnt the chords and notes pretty quickly the only part we found difficult was playing it all together from the intro onwards.

Following the rehearsal we have then performed the song and it went pretty well, we made a few small mistakes throughout the performance but nothing that would standout from the song too much and so we had gained quite a bit of confidence from that aswell.
