Today we have been given the song "stop on by" by Chaka Khan and Rufus. The song it self at first seemed quite boring and really not interesting but once we got into our bands and we began learning the song it actually turned out quite fun to play. This is mainly as it allowed me and Archie to experiment with the guitar lines and our tones as in the song there was reverb/delay which could be heard. The song also was quite easy so no one was stressing trying to learn each of their parts. Also the structure was pretty basic aswell. Overall in this song there was nothing which was complicated.
Once we got onstage, we managed to set up quite fast. I had a little struggle with finding the right effects on the amp but then Archie had helped and we managed to sort this problem. Then once we got playing everyone was quite confident, this is as we were all pretty well prepared. Throughout the whole performance no one had made any major mistakes and so I personally think it was pretty successful.
